Automotive Aesthetic, a startup company owned by a student of University of Virginia, is opening up shop in McIntire Plaza. Daniel Wendell, soon to be University of Virginia Alumni, has had a dream for over ten years of creating his own bespoke detailing company. Automotive Aesthetic turns something that may seem remedial and tedious into a form of art. Wendell began developing his automotive detailing skills at a very young age. “It all started when the Xbox 360 came out and my parents told me I would have to fund the new console with my own money,” Wendell notes. Wendell studies Government at the University of Virginia, but has decided to embark on his own journey instead of the government and consulting jobs that await his peers. “I learned enough about the Government that I didn’t want to be involved with it,” Daniel loves to say.
